Title IX Investigations
Keeping Schools Safe
All schools are committed to protecting students from harm — we are too.
Under Title IX, schools that receive federal funding must investigate all complaints of sexual misconduct, from cyberbullying to sexual assault, in an impartial, thorough and prompt manner.
Our partnership ensures that schools take the required and appropriate steps to investigate complaints of sexual misconduct so that all students are protected.

Our Approach
Our firm understands the rigor required by Title IX and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
In addition, Ms. Doolittle is a certified investigator with ATIXA, a professional association for school and college Title IX coordinators and administrators who are interested in serving their districts and campuses more effectively.
- In all investigations, our attorneys ensure that both the reporting party and the responding party are given equal measure of due process and resource support.
- Each investigation begins with a plan to discover the most information with the least amount of disruption and intrusion into students’ privacy.
- Each investigation is concluded with a report that identifies the nature of the complaint, the facts and evidence discovered, an analysis of the evidence and findings. Those findings are driven by the facts and evidence gathered during the investigation.
Each investigation is led and supervised by the firm’s Managing Shareholder, Kirsten Doolittle, a board certified labor and employment law attorney, with nearly two decades of experience investigating allegations of sexual misconduct.
Our Duty
While the firm maintains an attorney-client relationship with the schools it serves, our duty is to provide a thorough, impartial and prompt investigation. If the facts lead to the conclusion that misconduct occurred, our duty is to inform the school so that the school can take appropriate, corrective action.
